2026 W-2s With Code TP Are Due February 1, 2027

January 31, 2027 is a Sunday, so 2026 Forms W-2 are due to employees and to the SSA by February 1, 2027 (W-2/W-3 instructions).

Checklist

1. Export tips by employee, job and pay date for 2026 from your POS or payroll.
2. Include tip share received and paid out, and keep service charges separate.
3. Check each job's occupation code; use 000 for jobs not on the list.
4. Fix jobs with no code and duplicate rows flagged in the checks.
5. Send the TP and box 14b amounts to your payroll provider or key them into your W-2 software.
